The installer
This is source. You build it, you host it, and the identity it runs on is created on your machine and exists nowhere else. We do not learn what you install.
Check what arrived
Before you run it
__BYTES__ bytes, framework __VERSION__.
SHA-256 __SHA256__
On macOS or Linux: shasum -a 256 __FILE__. On Windows:
certutil -hashfile __FILE__ SHA256. If it does not match, do not run it, and
tell us.
Then
One command
Unpack it, and from inside the directory it makes:
node deploy/install.mjs --codename "Harbour" --origin https://harbour.example.com --out ../harbour
Your codename is presentation and you can change it later. Your origin
is not: it is bound into the build, and the running installation refuses any other hostname.
Read INSTALL.md in the archive first; when the build finishes it writes
NEXT-STEPS.md with the hosting steps and your own values already filled in.
Keep editions/installation.json. That file is
the installation. It exists nowhere else, and without it yours cannot be rebuilt.
What you are testing
Alpha, honestly
The framework has been built and reviewed carefully and it has not been operated at length by people who did not write it. Production commissioning is not complete. Install it for something you would be comfortable losing.
Tell us what breaks. An installation you stand up now is one you should expect to rebuild.
